The Basecamp

One compound. Twenty people.

SurfWERX Basecamp is a private compound in Playa Guiones, custom-built and finished in December 2015 — four buildings, eight bedrooms and the largest saltwater pool on the beach, two minutes from the water.

The Compound

Built for the moments between the waves.

Four buildings around one pool. A custom kitchen and a dining table for twenty on the main floor, a second floor built for yoga classes or a party, and two outdoor showers — one at the front for beach sand, one at the pool — plus a bathroom for swimmers, so nobody walks the beach through the house.

All-inclusive here means people, not a package. A private chef in the kitchen, a coordinator who books the week, and guides who have surfed this coast their whole lives.

A private chef

The main house has a custom kitchen with upgraded stainless appliances and a dining table that seats twenty — so dinner for the whole group is one table, not a reservation.

02 / The week

An events coordinator

One person holds the whole week: meals, the second-floor yoga floor, a private massage in the meditation structure, and everything you tick on the menu.

Build the week

Surfing is guided by our own team and comes with the stay. The rest your coordinator arranges with local operators — tick what sounds good and it's already on the request when you book.

The WERX-Mobile is our custom 4x4 surf unit, and it's an add-on to any week at Basecamp. Your guide picks you up at the gate — boards, cold water and the morning's swell data aboard — and drives you to whichever break is working: Guiones when it's on, the reefs and river-mouths when it isn't.
